How Sloane got 10+ hours a week back after leaving Procore

Running a custom build on commercial software meant three tools, constant syncing, and schedules that fell a month behind. Ressio brought it into one place at a builder's price.

It's super affordable compared to where we were with Procore, and I'm really happy to see the improvements happen so quickly.

A custom builder running on commercial-grade software

Sloane Construction is a custom builder running three to five active projects at a time.

They ran on Procore — software built for large commercial contractors, with the price and complexity to match. For a custom builder, that meant paying enterprise rates for a system that made everyday work harder than it needed to be.

Founder Jeremy Sloane made it work. But “making it work” was the problem.

The challenge

Three tools, one workaround at a time

Procore handled project management, but the day-to-day meant stitching three systems together.

01

Scheduling lived elsewhere

With no native scheduling in Procore, the team built schedules in MS Project and synced them across. In practice, schedules got major updates monthly at best.

02

Estimates went out as static PDFs

Proposals were built in WinEST, then exported and emailed — clunky for clients who do multiple projects a year.

03

Selections were scattered

Sign-offs were tracked digitally but hard to manage, and tracing why a budget changed took real digging.

04

Enterprise pricing

Procore's cost is built for commercial-scale budgets, not custom residential builders.

The switch

Everything under one roof

Ressio replaced three tools with one platform built for custom builders.

Client experience

Three tools in, one platform out.

Native scheduling

Schedules live inside Ressio next to budgets and selections. No second system, no syncing.

Built-in proposals

Estimates are created and sent inside Ressio, with the ability to segment exactly what's included.

Crystal-clear selections

Every selection and the budget change it drives is tracked in one place.

A builder's price

Full functionality without commercial-software cost.

The results

One system, current schedules, a smaller bill

The biggest change is the hardest one to see on a feature list: everything happens in one place now, and the hours that used to disappear into syncing, exporting, and cross-referencing came back. Schedules stay current instead of falling a month behind, proposals fit how Sloane actually works, and budget changes explain themselves.

01

Schedules stay current

Instead of monthly MS Project syncs, schedules update as work happens.

“Having scheduling through Ressio has really helped us keep project schedules up to date.”
02

Proposals fit the work

Segmented proposals show exactly what's included, ideal for repeat clients.

“Now that we can segment out what's included in a proposal, it's great for clients that we do multiple small projects for each year.”
03

Selections that explain the budget

A once-scattered process is now the clearest part of the project.

“Now with selections, it's crystal clear where budgets change from.”

Mason + Claude

Bringing existing Claude workflows into Ressio

Jeremy had already built processes and skills in Claude before switching. With Ressio's Claude connection, that work now lives alongside the platform instead of running in parallel.

We are now connected to Claude and that's awesome, since I had already built processes and skills in Claude.
