Our Story
Back in 2021, Ryan Liu underwent a gut renovation of his apartment in Jersey City, NJ. Everything went wrong, as the project ended up over budget and significantly delayed. Ryan’s builder had a legacy project management software to run the job, but everyone involved found that the product was clunky and hard to use.
In June 2022, Ryan was introduced to Mitchell Kasselman, who had helped small contractors adopt software and unlock new revenue opportunities at ServiceChannel (acquired for $1.2 billion in 2021). Ryan and Mitchell began speaking with many small and medium-sized general contractors to explore why Ryan’s experience was so challenging. They found that without having the right software tools in place, it can be difficult to stay organized, leading to schedule delays, frustrated clients, and diminishing profits.
So they teamed up to found Ressio: a simple, user-friendly construction management solution that empowers builders to do more with less. Now with the backing of construction owners and industry leaders, Ressio is modernizing the American building experience one job at a time.
